lyrics

There was a time,
The sun didn't shine so bright.
And I would ask my lover,
if the lights outside were day or night.
The plants would laugh and say
There was so much more to them that gave 'em life.

There was a time,
The moon passed just for a moment.
And we looked to other rocks to guide the way.
My lover, she held me tight
said, "We don't need the night to waste our time."

I'm falling out of orbit but I'll be fine.

There was a time,
The Earth stood halt out of malice.
And we weren't sure exactly what we'd done.
My lover, she culled me well,
said, "Sometimes hell is knowing we don't know."

And soon the day came,
When time didn't last as it promised.
And we felt that we'd been cheated out of life.
If my lover was still around,
She'd ask me to try and sound more down to Earth.

I'm falling out of orbit but I'll be fine.

There was a time,
The moon passed just for a moment.
And we looked to other rocks to guide the way.
My lover, she held me tight
said, "We don't need the night to waste our time."

I'm falling out of orbit but I'll be fine.

I'm falling out of orbit but I'll be fine.
